Here’s an idea … how’s about we ACTUALLY separate ” church and state ” ? You can worship snakes , old men in clouds , white supremacy … whatever floats your kayak . Just keep it the f*ck out of the ” rule of law ” that applies to this country.
I would put out “bounties” for unedited video evidence of civil rights violations. I would also send investigators at random to audit police files both in the inner city and in the rural areas. uncover the rot where people don’t have the money to fight police misconduct. Criteria for grants would be tiered. those without consent decrees being filed in fifteen years are eligible for full grants and equipment. those with use of force or other civil rights issues can only get training and surveillance equipment. no guns, or armored vehicles. grant recipients can only have one percent of their force on their state’s brady list. grants that are currently based on arrests, are changed to convictions, to make the investigation the important part.
Community gardens and rain water harvesting in every neighborhood. High quality materials from the earth or recycled materials to insulate homes so that there is very little need for heating/cooling. Open source qualified architects, etc. who volunteer time. Receive donations from solr panel companies, light fixtures, etc. The donor companies in return will receive sizable reduction in property taxes expenses.
I think that a large reason our country is in crisis is that they froze the number of Representatives in the House back in the 1920s. This has left us with Representatives who, even if they mean well, are not adequately representing the people they’re supposed to serve, and is leading to more and more radicalization as people scream to be heard.
The Founding Fathers wanted 30,000 people per rep. We currently have 740,000 roughly. And while improvements in transportation and communication mean that I think a single person can handle more than 30,000, 740,000 is leading to most people being lost in the shuffle. I propose changing things so that it’s 100,000 people per rep. I think that’s enough to make them responsive to their communities.
It would also fix some of the problem with the Electoral College without destroying it since it’s meant to guard against mob rule.
I would also propose 30,000 people per rep in State Houses of Representatives because of similar issues.
That’s it, universal healthcare.
At the very least increased protection for those with chronic issues. Seeing my friends with Diabetes try to navigate life is truly heartbreaking.
I need clean air to breathe and live life and my neighbors smoke up the air so it’s hard to breathe I’m not getting help from nobody please help me.God bless
